Rescued!

Galatians 1.3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,

4 who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

5 to whom be glory for ever and ever.  Amen.

We consider them heroes.  They come together with dogs and dig with heavy equipment, shovels or their bare hands.  They are the rescuers.  They hunt for the living among the dead after earthquakes and other disasters.  We admire them for the sacrifices they make to save those who are slipping away beneath collapsed buildings and earth.  They are rewarded by the joyful thanksgiving of the victims and their loved ones.  Even the dogs seem to rejoice when they reach a living person!

Pray for the rescuers and victims in El Salvador.

Jesus is our Rescuer.  He knew that we would live and die without hope if He had not made the supreme sacrifice for each of us.  He has rescued us from the world of sin and corruption and delivered us into His kingdom.

Dear Father, we are so thankful that we have been rescued by Christ.  We would be aimless and hopeless without Him.  With Him, we have hope, joy and purpose in living each day.  May we follow His example of compassion in all that we do.  Help the victims and the workers in El Salvador.  Help all who are hurting.  We ask this in the name of Christ, our Savior.  Amen.

1 John 5.14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Only God can know HOW our prayers WORK but we believe HE answers.  Please write me to add names to the prayer list and to report changes in status.

Let us be thankful and prayerful!

Love

Brad Forgy
