Power

1 Corinthians 4.20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of  power.

You can find the word "power" 21 times in 1 Corinthians (KJV).  It is  translated from the Greek word "dunamis" and is the same word used here:

Romans 1.16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God  for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the  Gentile.

While the unbeliever may disagree with your convictions, it is difficult for  him to disregard, dismiss or disagree with the power of God that transforms  your life.

Dear Father, we are so grateful for Your great power--the strength and  ability You provide as we follow Jesus.  Help us to show Christ to others as  we serve them.  Help those who are hurting.  We ask this in the name of  Christ, the Powerful One.  Amen.
