What Makes a Great Church?

As I think about the mission of the church as set forth in the great commission (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:27; John 20:21; Acts 1:8), I am convinced that nothing short of a GREAT church can carry the gospel to the world of sin.

A GREAT church is...

•a church with a great plan for the future
•a church with a great worship attitude and practice
•a church with a great faith in God and His promises
•a church with a great belief that prayer is important
•a church with a great willingness to work in God's kingdom
•a church with a great spirit of togetherness in God's work
•a church with a great compassion for the needs of others
•a church with a great burden and vision for souls
•a church with a great spirit of urgency to win lost souls
•a church with a great persistence (it will not be stopped)

You can help make the church a GREAT church by being a great member. Bible greatness is doing God's will (Matthew 20:20-28; Mark 9:33-35; John 13:1-15).
