REMEMBER THE POOR

Ezekiel 16:49, ”‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.

Acts 9.36 In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which, when translated, is Dorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor.

Galatians 2.10 All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.

Dear Father, we are so grateful for the great riches in Christ. May we be filled with gratitude as we share our blessings with other. Help those who are hurting, poor, lost and lonely. Use us to bless them. We ask this in the name of Christ, the Beloved, the One who was poor so that we could be rich. Amen.

1 John 5.14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.15 And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him.
