Promises and Commands

2 Corinthians 13.11 Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. 

12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. 

13 All the saints send their greetings. 

14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

We must not think we can separate God's commands and promises. The God of love and peace will be with those who obey God. This--the greatest of all blessings--is reserved for those who trust that the Father's way is best...regardless of the circumstances.

Job 13.15 Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him...

Dear Father, we are so limited in our knowledge and power while You are unlimited. Help us to trust in Your goodness and promises as we commit our all to You today. Help those who are hurting. We ask this in the name of Christ, our Hope. Amen

1 John 5.14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 

Only God can know HOW our prayers WORK but we believe HE answers. Please write me to add names to the prayer list and to report changes in status.
