Hi everyone- We hope this email finds you all having a blessed summer, hopefully including some special time with family and friends. Our family is doing well and we wanted to send a short update of what has been going on here in Mwanza for the last several weeks.

Some of you have already heard, but others have not, that Jason, Judah and Josaphat (a local church leader) were in a car accident a little over a week ago. We are so thankful to God that no one was hurt, and for his protection for our family here in all the driving that our work entails, so often over extremely bad roads. Now we are in the middle of the tedious process of paperwork with police reports, damage report, insurance, etc., and beginning the search for a suitable car replacement as it was totaled in the accident.

We would ask your prayers for us in all of that, especially that Jason while going thru all of it can be a living testimony to God's love and grace through his words, actions, and most of all patience with all the different people that he'll be working with along the way.

On a happier note, the women's seminar that took place in June was a wonderful time of fellowship and encouragement. It was so exciting to be a part of the first ever Sukuma-area women's seminar, to see women from different villages meet for the first time and to sing, pray, and share together. A total of 27 women attended from 6 different villages, from Thursday evening thru Sunday afternoon. A few of the teaching topics were- raising Godly children, communication in marriage, prayer, and the Titus 2 women. Thanks so much for all of your prayers and words of encouragement via email sent in the weeks leading up to the seminar, your love and support keep us going and give us joy.

I am hoping to upload several pictures from the seminar to a facebook album, and will email a link to access that album for those of you who may not have a facebook account (and for those of you who do, add us as friends ( :).

Here are some prayer requests from our family that we would ask you to remember:

-thanksgiving for health and safety of our family
-thanksgiving for protection during the car accident
-patience for both of us during the process of paperwork and car search
-a continued sense of excitement for the Sukuma women we work with, that they will continue in their plans for future workshops and fellowship together
-safety for Jason and the Harding students he is accompanying for several days in their survey of the Nyamwezi area of Tanzania for possible future work
-travel blessings on all supporters arriving over the next few weeks from our team's supporting churches -Clarity of focus, encouragement and wisdom in the upcoming Sukuma supporters meeting

Thank you all so much for your continued support of us and the work here in Mwanza- we love you and hope to hear from you soon!

love,

Emily on behalf of the Millers
