He is Watching

Psalm 121:  1 A song of ascents.  I lift up my eyes to the hills-  where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,  the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip-  he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel  will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you-  the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,  nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm-  he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going  both now and forevermore.

The devoted mother and father examine the sleeping child.  They see the  rhythmic moving of the chest and hear the air passing in and out of the nose.   They conclude that the child is safe and well...and they are too.

Sleeping children are often unaware that Mom and Dad are watching and we tend  to be unaware that our Father is watching us.  He does not take naps or  forget about us.  He is interested.  He understands.  He cares.  He protects  us.  He helps us.

Dear Father, we are so grateful to know that You care about each of us.  We  are unable to comprehend Your ability to watch over us and provide for us but  we know that you are near and we trust You to continue to watch over us and  keep us from harm.  We want to always be in Your presence and we are so  grateful for the Christ who has made this possible.  Help those who are  hurting.  We ask this in the name of Christ, the Beloved.  Amen.

1 John 5.14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask  any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he  hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we  desired of him.

Only God can know HOW our prayers WORK but we believe HE answers.  Let us be thankful and prayerful!

Love
Brad Forgy
