Do No Harm

Romans 13.8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to  love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.

9 The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal,"  "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up  in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

10 Love does no harm to  its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

The student physician learns this principle early: Do no harm.  Sometimes we  think we can do little or nothing to help another but love compels us to do  no harm.  We have hurt others and been hurt by them.  Both experiences help  us to be more aware of the potential for doing harm.  Ask, "Am I withholding  or expressing God's love in this matter?  Am I helping or hurting?"

Love for God compels us to obey Him.  We owe love to God and our neighbors.   As we pay our debt of love, we show Christ to others.

Dear Father, we want to show Christ to those around us as we demonstrate Your  lavish love.  Help us to be wise, harmless, kind and prayerful today.  Help  those who are hurting.  We ask this in the name of Christ, the One who shows  us how to love.  Amen.

1 John 5.14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask  any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he  hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we  desired of him.

Only God can know HOW our prayers WORK but we believe HE answers. Please  write me to add names to the prayer list and to report changes in status.

Let us be thankful and prayerful!

Love
