Chosen to Praise Him

1 Peter 2.9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a  people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called  you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

10 Once you were not a people,  but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now  you have received mercy.   When the cares of the world weigh heavily upon us, let us know how special we  are to our Father and let us praise Him each day.

Dear Father, we are so grateful for the mercy we have received in Christ.   This mercy has provided a way for us to be Your holy nation.  May we rejoice  in this knowledge and praise Your each day.  Help those who are hurting.  We  ask this through Christ, our Lord.  Amen

1 John 5.14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask  any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  15 And if we know that he  hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we  desired of him.
