Brought to God!

1 Peter 3.18a For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.

Peter told the gospel story in a few powerful words:

1. Christ died--not as a martyr--but as the Redeemer.
2. He died for all sinners. Peter knew this as well as anyone (Matthew 28.18-20; Acts 2.36-39;10.34,35).
3. Christ died as a righteous man--not as a sinner--so that all sinners could be righteous.
4. He did this to bring us to the Father.

He is still bringing people to the Father through the power of the gospel in the hearts and hands of His servants. Many of us where thrilled when we heard that two dental surgeons in Sohar, Oman were recently baptized. Sohar is 95% Muslim. This couple received the powerful gospel message from a World Bible School teacher, Evelyn Wright. We rejoice with this couple and with Evelyn as we are reminded that Christ has enabled us to bring others to the Father by sharing the good news with them!

It is great to be a Christian!

Dear Father, we are so thankful for Christ, our Redeemer. We are grateful for what He has done for us, what He is doing today and what He will do when He returns for us. We rejoice with all who have been brought into your family by the gospel. Help us to be faithful and zealous in sharing the Word. Help those who are hurting. We ask this in the name of Christ, our Hope. Amen.

1 John 5.14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Only God can know HOW our prayers WORK but we believe HE answers. Please write me to add names to the prayer list and to report changes in status.

Let us be thankful and prayerful!

Love

Brad Forgy
