Are You A Vidiot?

 We all know what an idiot is — a person who does things without thinking about them. When you call someone an idiot, it is an insult. A vidiot is almost the same thing. You are a vidiot if you watch music videos for any period of time without stopping to think about what they are saying. A vidiot lets other people influence their mind without even asking questions. The next time you watch a music video record your thoughts to the questions below.

Keep in mind what Philippians 4:8-9 says as you watch the video.  "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me — practice these things and the God of peace will be with you."

 1.  Do you like this video? Why or why not?
 2. What did the visuals have to do with the song?
 3. What as the song about?
 4. What did the person/group singing the song want to happen? Is that a good thing to happen? Why or why not?
 5. As a Christian do you think that this video is healthy for someone to watch or listen to?
 6. Does it fit the qualifications that Paul wrote about in Philippians?
